Cincinnati Preschool Promise
The Cincinnati Preschool Promise works to ensure equitable access to high quality preschool so
that every Cincinnati child is prepared for kindergarten. The Cincinnati Preschool Promise
focuses on three primary work areas: improving the quality of preschool to benefit all children,
providing tuition assistance so that all families have access to high quality preschool, and
seeking ways to attract and retain qualified preschool providers through wage initiatives.
The Program & Evaluation Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing
selected initiatives including wage and teacher benefit work, having a deep understanding of the
data used for accountability and continuous improvement, overseeing the evaluation contracts
and work with the Board and partners to assess challenges and opportunities to meet the
mission of the Cincinnati Preschool Promise (CPP). The position will serve as a liaison to
various Cincinnati early childhood education community stakeholders. The role will be full-time
requiring 40+ hours per week. The Program & Evaluation Manager will report to the Executive
Director and will coordinate with other staff on the team.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Develop and manage wage initiatives
• Plan and potentially implement initiatives spelled out in the organization’s 2019/2020
goals as they relate to attendance, full day/full year preschool, kindergarten transition,
parent education, and others
• Provide oversight to MetrixIQ contract and relationship
• Establish, maintain, and report dashboard tracking CPP’s progress
• Serve as staff support to the Cost of Quality Committee of the Board and the Data and
Evaluation Committee
• Serve as lead staff on the Cincinnati Children’s INNOVATIONS contract and relationship
• Advance CPP’s ability to report program results and understand the preschool
landscape
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred; ideal candidate will have
education and experience related to social science, early education systems, or related
fields
• Demonstrated success in project planning and management, with project management
certification a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects at one time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter; self-directed
• Culturally credible with ability to interact with people of all backgrounds

• Strong inclination for working collaboratively
• Experience translating data from multiple data systems into learning and policy
• Ability to field inquiries and manage excellent customer relations
• Enthusiasm for the CPP mission of expanding access to high quality, community-based, preschool as well as growing the pipeline of dedicated and skilled preschool educators
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, databases, and related technologies
